Curious Provence

I can’t say enough positive things about our engagement photo shoot with Ashley. From when I first reached out to her 5 months prior, she made planning my surprise engagement to my boyfriend so comfortable and easy. She was very communicative, friendly, and had thought out all the details. I appreciated that she waited until the night before to tell me which lavender field to meet at at sunrise- because she needed to make sure which were in prime condition and had not been cut. She asked me beforehand if I wanted her to bring bubbly, and which locations to include in our photo shoot. I opted for a two hour shoot which included a lavender field, an olive grove, and the Gordes lookout. All of the photos were stunning, and somehow she managed to get tons of photos in which both of us looked great— which is very difficult for us usually! Ashley is incredibly talented, a lovely person, and truly made this a perfect morning. She helped me make my dream surprise proposal come true. Thank you Ashley!

Ashley was the easiest person to work with! All I knew was that I wanted to propose in Provence, but I had no idea where to begin. That's where Ashley came in. She found an amazing overlook a short walk from where we were staying. All I had to do was bring my future fiancé there for a sunset. After she said yes, she had a bottle of champagne for us to open and set up a picnic for us! Not only did Ashley create my ideal proposal, but the impromptu engagement photoshoot that followed was amazing. The photos came out better than we could have ever imagined! I am very grateful for Ashley, especially because she made me look so good!

We booked a photoshoot and market tour with Ashley and she was an integral part of our favorite day of our entire trip! Because Ashley used to work in the markets, she knows all the best vendors and gives you so much backstory about the products. As we wound through the town of St. Remy sampling various products, it felt completely different than we’d experienced before having her with us, and I imagine any market done this way would win as our favorite. We ended with a standing picnic of all the items she purchased along the way, making friends with the vendors when we cracked open some rose to share. It really felt like we got a taste of the town beyond being tourists, which for me is always the goal. If you’re at all considering doing any kind of guided experience let it be the market tour with Curious Provence! It’s a day that we won’t soon forget! And the cherry on top is that we now have beautiful photos from our morning photoshoot in Eygalieres, they turned out better than I could even imagine (and I assure you that I’m a very awkward photo subject, but Ashley is a total pro and puts you at ease). I worked with Ashley to capture our proposal and she did an unbelievable job. She is very kind and was extremely helpful throughout the process — from selecting the right location to helping arrange champagne. We booked a market tour of Arles with Ashley for Saturday of Easter Weekend. Communication was great leading up to meeting her with my wife and daughter. We started with a coffee and then walked the market where her French and detailed knowledge of market products and the vendors that sold them was super helpful. It was great to know which products were truly local versus available anywhere. We picked up a number of food items and had a picnic after a couple of hours of shopping. Ashley set up the picnic behind a busy stall which was a great place to end the tour. Highly recommend!

Ashley did an amazing job taking photos for us while we were in France. She took her time and took us to gorgeous locations to take several shots. She got back to us with photos in 2/3 days which was awesome too.

Ashley designed a custom-made, 10-day Provence itinerary for me. It was fantastic. Everything Ashley recommended - beautiful villages, mountain drives, gorgeous panoramic views, outdoor markets, cafes and restaurants, etc. - was spot on. I feel lucky to have found Ashley; she helped me make my trip to Provence unforgettable. And I will be working with her again for my next trip to Provence. I cannot recommend Ashley more highly.
